Amy Sherman-Palladino still hopes to finish Gilmore Girls the way she had always intended. There is nothing even vaguely in the works, but she hasn't given up on a GG movie at some point.

Ellen DeGeneres has joined American Idol, effectively replacing Paula Abdul. There seems to be a sharp divide in opinions about this; I'm definitely Team Ellen, even though I don't even watch AI-- I like her perspective about it, she's coming in as a fan of music instead of as a maker/producer/seller of music.
